Of National Interest

Listed by both the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission, Warner Hall continues to be of major architectural and genealogical significance in American history. Warner Hall has long been considered one of the premiere properties in the Virginia Tidewater area.

The property is located 3-1/2 miles from U.S. Route 17 and Colonial Williamsburg is just 30 minutes away. The battlefields of Yorktown are within 15 minutes and America's first settlement, Jamestown, is a 50 minute drive along the scenic Colonial Parkway. The state capitol of Richmond, the Norfolk Harbor, and Virginia Beach are within an hour's drive.

      A Colonial Christmas Celebration

      The Ware River Circle of the King’s Daughters and Sons will host their 30th annual Christmas Open House – A Colonial Christmas Celebration – at the Inn at Warner Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019.

      The event benefits the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, local charities and the Ronald McDonald House. Tickets are $30 each and guests can choose to visit the historic property during one of four sessions (noon to 1 p.m., 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., 3 to 4 p.m., or 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.).

      Revolutionary War Reenactment: Sept. 13-15, 2019 “Eve of the Siege”

      It is autumn of 1781 and a large British force under General Lord Cornwallis has occupied Yorktown and Gloucester Point since early August. A British raiding party has descended on Warner Hall by water to gather forage for the two fortified posts. The Gloucester militia has been in the field for weeks and will try to repel the raiders.

      Come celebrate independence, and the price our forefathers paid for our Country’s freedom this fall during the September 2019 Revolutionary War Reenactment here on the grounds of Warner Hall!
