Fireplaces Warner Hall Virginia

The Fireplaces of Warner Hall

Good food, a warm hearth and all the comforts of home.

Want to get warm and cozy in the heart of the winter season?

The fireplaces of Warner Hall are definitely Top Ten material (we know…we curl up by them all the time and enjoy watching guests relax by their warmth)!

The history of the magnificently restored Manor House is beyond compare, and that extends to its fireplaces throughout the manor house and its guest rooms.

There is simply no better place to curl up beside a fireplace with a mug of hot cider and a good book than…

The Drawing Room (pictured above): Borrow a book from the Drawing Room and curl up next to the fireplace!

The Meriwether Lewis Room: Imagine relaxing in the stylish mahogany sleigh bed while enjoying the glowing light of embers from the corner fireplace. The two person whirlpool tub in the huge marble tiled bathroom provides the perfect place to enjoy champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries.

The Mildred Warner Room: A room with a view….The breathtaking views from this room inspired one of our guests to paint a gorgeous oil painting which now hangs in the center foyer! A peaceful night’s rest in the lovely queen size, walnut carved bed will be certain to restore balance to even the busiest person’s life.

The Washington Suite: This luxurious and stately room makes everyone feel presidential! The perfect king-size canopy bed in which to enjoy a romantic escape…Eleven foot ceilings, antique heart pine flooring and custom crafted crown moldings are just a few of the architectural details that make this room so special.

The Mary Powell Room: The pillow top mattress on this queen size, four poster canopy bed is so comfortable that you may as well plan on having breakfast in your room! Stunning river and pasture views and the warmth and ambiance of the gas fireplace provide the perfect back drop for a romantic interlude.

The Captain’s Quarters: A voyage to the West Wing, the oldest section of Warner Hall, will make you want to lay anchor in the wonderful, mahogany sleigh bed. Water views to the south and pasture views to the north; make for easy enjoyment in this spacious room while relaxing in the Queen Anne chairs by the gas fireplace.

The Speaker Lewis: The restored 18th century colonial mantle and gas fireplace immediately invite you into this lovely room named for all the prominent politicians in the “Lewis of Warner Hall” families. The Russian pine queen size bed, custom upholstered camelback sofa, hand-painted English dresser and antique writing desk, combine to create the perfect atmosphere for an inspired visit.

The West Wing Parlor: Located in the oldest section of the inn, the West Wing provides a quiet respite and an amazing opportunity to see one of the oldest colonial fireplaces in Virginia. This room houses one of two fireplace openings restored to their original state circa 1688.

The choices are endless. Come and feel the warmth for yourself.
